Gain a new understanding about the role of shame and its impact on ourselves, survivors and the system. Learn how shame shows up in those with trauma histories. Explore a new definition of blame. This presentation provides keys to how to respond to those with trauma histories to build healing connections. Learn about the role of vulnerability in our personal and professional lives and the role it plays in working with those with trauma histories.

This event is part of the Mental Health Training Series.

The Mental Health Training Series is a monthly event, and represents a collaboration between Great KIDS make Great COMMUNITIES and Allen Superior Court, Family Relations Division. These trainings are typically offered free of charge and are funded in part by the The Lutheran Foundation. These trainings are open to professionals and volunteers working with children and families. Preregistration is required. One CEU per hour of training will be available to participants upon request.
